I read your story and I cannot believe how close it is to mine. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet Matthew. Over nine years ago, I was 20 weeks pregnant with my second child (we had a 20-month-old son) we went for the routine ultrasound, as you did, and we were utterly blown away to be told that there was no heartbeat. That night I entered the hospital and induced. After the worst night of my life, I gave birth at 6:30 a.m. to our daughter Hope. The pain of losing her was surreal. Tests revealed later that she had severe Down Syndrome, and couldn't survive it.

I know how devastating this can be...but I promise, time WILL soften the edges of the pain.

We went on to have a healthy daughter after Hope, and another son. Sometimes things happen that we just can't explain.

I wish you peace, and hold on to that beautiful little girl you have, she is such a blessing.

Oh, I am so terribly sorry for the loss of sweet Kael David. This video had me crying the whole time.

I had my sweet Naomi born April 27, 2009 to severe preeclampsia. She lived 35 days and passed away June 1 2009.

It is a beautiful video of your son. So so very sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

This happened to me my pregnancy was going along fine then i had a pain in my chest that felt like a band around my chest and back so i went to the er and spent the night and was released with them telling me i was just dehydrated but the pain came back that night so i went back and they told me it was heartburn and gave me meds for that but then when my blood work came back they saw i had hellp and transfered me right away. I had to deliever at 24 weeks and 2 days I only had time for 2 steriods to help his lungs and was in labor for 40 hours when he finally came on 10/30 at 3:24am he took a breath and was taken down to the nicu. He did perfect for 6 days proving all the doctors wrong then on the 5th i got a call to get there asap. They found a hole in his intestine and they didnt catch it in him the infection was to bad and his heart kept stopping as soon as i saw him i knew i couldnt put him threw all the reviving anymore and asked for him to be taken off the air meds for his heart because they would give him it and 10 minutes later his heart would stop. He passed away 11/5 at 12pm. He was a strong fighter and now i have a guardian angel watching over me. I can relate to becky and her husband its the hardest thing you will ever go through and to know u have a 50 percent chance of gettingit again makes it scary to try again but dont give up =) im so sorry for your loss you guys are in my prayers

I lost my daughter Annaliese on May 14th 2003 @ 5:11pm at 23 weeks along. Losing Annaliese was the hardest thing I have ever had to go through.
I am so sorry for your loss.

What you do is amazing and will help many people/parents.

What a beautiful tribute to the life of your daughter. She was a precious and beautiful little girl. I must say I shed tears when I saw your son stand at her grave because it brought back the memory of my oldest daughter grieving the loss of her brother. I am so very sorry for your loss. This is beautiful, she is a beautiful baby! I lost my daughter almost 17 years ago and would love to have this keepsake of her, are you able to work with video footage from New Zealand as well as I have photos of her. Thanks so much for this great work that you do! I am also a NICU nurse and would love to tell some of our families of your blog, would that be OK?
